One of the best improvements you can make on your AK styled rifle is to replace the standard hand guards with a modular hand guard system. The Zhukov is a lightweight, extended handguard with modular flexibility. Designed with versatility in mind, slots at the three, six, and nine o'clock positions allow the attachment of optional M-LOK Picatinny rail sections for mounting tactical lights, slings, grips, and other accessories. The reinforced heat resistant polymer outer cover provides durability and houses the full length hard coat anodized aluminum chassis. This extra length gives you a larger and longer gripping surface for more modern shooting techniques. A replacement gas tube top cover is included.
This handguard is designed to fit AK-47 variants with barrel daimaeter of between 17 to 18mm and a length greater than 13". Permanent removal of the original front handguard retaining cap and sling loop, if equipped, is required. This handguard is compatible with the UltiMAK Optics Mount top cover and will accept the AK factory cleaning rod.
